About
Brooks Memorial State Park has three wall tents under tall ponderosa pines near the Goldendale Observatory - 12-by-14-foot canvas tents on a wooden platform, sleeping up to six people. They're unfurnished apart from the platform itself, so bring your own sleeping bags and pads. No cooking is allowed inside, and pets aren't allowed. Each has a picnic table and fire pit outside. This park also has a separate Retreat Center with seven cabins, which is a conference/group-booking facility out of scope for this listing.
Fees
Washington's 2026 rate for these wall tents is about $45/night in peak season and $40/night in shoulder/winter season.
Washington State Parks publishes a winter (Nov. 1-March 31) nightly rate for its cabins and yurts alongside the peak and shoulder season rates, so winter stays are bookable; confirm road and trail conditions with the park before a cold-weather trip.
