About
The City of Brunswick's campground on a strip of land between the Potomac River and the C&O Canal, run for the city by River and Trail Outfitters; the canal towpath is the only road in. The campground advertises over 100 sites: 55 RV sites with water and 30 or 50-amp electric, 4 of them full hookup with sewer, numbered tent sites in Nottingham Woods, a general tenting area in Potomac Green, four group sites, and two walk-in tent sites with water and electric. Bathhouse with hot showers, dump station, picnic tables, and fire pits; some long-term RV sites. Six basic cabins are rented separately and do not take pets. Two-night minimum on Friday and Saturday nights. Campers get a discount on the outfitter's rafting, tubing, and paddling trips; Harpers Ferry and Antietam are within half an hour. Open late March to early November.
