About
Madison County 45-acre recreation area with a 9-acre pond, boat landing for non-motorized vessels, fishing, camping, and hiking. Both modern and primitive campgrounds, spring through fall. Pit-vault bathrooms. Coordinates are the town of Winterset rather than the recreation area, which lies outside town; the county publishes no map point.
