About
Gambrill State Park, in the Catoctin Mountains just west of Frederick, offers 28 campsites (13 basic, 9 tent-only, 6 electric) with a central bathhouse and dump station. Four camper cabins with electricity are separate lodging, not included in the campsite total above. Open the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October. Reservable through the Maryland Park Service's own ReserveAmerica/Aspira contract, hosted at parkreservations.maryland.gov (not a reserveamerica.com subdomain, though it runs the same underlying platform - confirmed live, "Powered by Aspira").
Fees
Campsite Non-Electric $18.50-$19.50/night, Campsite Electric $24.50-$25.50/night. Displayed rates are the vendor's own published BASE rates and do NOT reflect holiday/weekend/residency surcharges or a pet fee (Maryland applies these as add-ons rather than publishing a separate resident/non-resident base rate the way some other states do). Pets are allowed in the campground, must be kept on a leash and attended at all times (also permitted in Cabin 18 specifically).
