About
This rustic campground is located on Cusino Lake, a 140-acre lake known for muskie and perch fishing. All six sites are on the lake and offer direct water access for paddling or swimming. Trail 8 is accessible from the campground. The campground is secluded, quaint and fewer than 10 miles from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The operation of an ORV and snowmobile between the campground and nearby trails is allowed.
There are six sites for tent and small trailer use. The campground is located 24 miles northeast of Shingleton via H-15, H-58 and Ross Lake Road.
6 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Indian Lake State Park (906-341-2355).
