About
The campground is adjacent to the public landing. The campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. Also, there is a sandy swimming beach and water access, including a boat ramp for great fishing.
This campground is a great access point to the Cloquet River State Water Trail. There are two canoe segments, totaling 33 river miles, with the Cloquet Valley State Forest.
Indian Lake Campground offers a delightful setting for camping, and a glorious place like Gooseberry Falls State Park is too pleasant to leave out on your trip to Minnesota's north country.
26 primitive campsites (25 drive-in), 1 of them accessible. 1 group campsite, reserved up to 120 days ahead. First come, first served for individual sites; pay the camping fee online on the day you arrive, or at a state park ranger station. Managed from Parks and Trails Two Harbors area office (218-834-1430). In Cloquet Valley State Forest.
