This moderate 1.6 mile one way access to Kettle Crest (North) National Recreation Trail #13 provides spectacular views of the valley. On a clear day the Cascade Mountains are visible to the west. The first 0.5 mile follows an old road.
This 1.4 mile trail trail starts at one end at the intersection of the Leona Trail #49 . It climbs higher than the crest trail, along a ridge. After 1.4 miles it connects with Kettle Crest North National Recreation Trail #13 this trial can be used to create a loop route day hike.
The lines are the US Forest Service's National Forest System trails layer (public domain), read 2026-10-16 and simplified for the map; the length is the line's, end to end, and the class, surface, grade and tread width are the forest's own entries where it publishes them - a forest that publishes the centreline alone has none.
