About

Wilderness Road State Park sits along the historic route that carried thousands of settlers through the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky, with a reconstructed frontier outpost, Martin's Station, bringing that history to life through costumed interpreters. Visitors can explore a frontier museum, watch an award-winning film, and hike or ride the 6.5-mile Wilderness Road Trail. The park offers one primitive group camping area, with portable toilets provided but no showers or individual campsites.
